This is AMAZING. They took 6 diabetics and put them on a RAW food diet for 30 days,… which reversed their type 2 diabetes. “Let food be thy medicine”.
3:13. so inspiring.
Bikini season is approaching and we are all getting ready to kick it into high gear! Summer is a few months away— so what are you doing now so you can feel and look your best? Many of us want to take that first step, but don’t know where to start! Well ladies… the fact of the matter is the only way to get those six-pack abs and get rid of those little dimples that creep up on our bums is through DIET! DIET is the KEY, and ABS are ONLY made in the KITCHEN!
So many people think that if you do abs every day, soon they will appear… ohhh how I wish it were that easy! I am here to tell ya that as long as you are eating clean, you will be living lean:)
Being new to the scene, you may feel flustered and unsure of what exactly is healthy and how often you should be eating. My advice is, look at all of the fitness people who are actually healthy and fit. Look at what they are doing! Many high-profile celebrities are skinny, but are what we like to call “skinny fat.” Skinny fat is a term used when girls are skinny, but unhealthy. Most women seem to think that if you starve yourself, it will make you skinny! WRONG WRONG WRONG!

Avoid muscle cannibalism by eating a meal consisting of protein and some complex carbs within the hour after your workout! This is commonly known as the “anabolic window” or “window of opportunity”. The sooner you can get that meal, the better (that doesn’t mean you have to scarf down a meal right after, but don’t wait a long time either!). When you don’t consume a lean protein (whether it be a shake or regular food) post-workout, your body turns to muscle for fuel. Don’t let that hard-earned muscle waste away! It’s what keeps your metabolism high and helps fight-off/lose bodyfat!

5 Foods That Fight Bloat
- Papaya - There’s some research that says the enzyme in papaya may aid digestion.
- Oatmeal - According to Harlan, in a recent meta-analysis of a number of studies related to digestion, researchers found that oat bran can be particularly beneficial.
- Yogurt - The key is to make sure you’re choosing a yogurt that has “active cultures,” which will increase the number of “good” bacteria in your gut, helping you digest more efficiently and preventing that belly from blowing up. Harlan says to look for organic plain yogurt (which is very likely to contain the active cultures), and to steer clear of anything with “fruit on the bottom.”
- Asparagus - There’s some really interesting new data aboutasparagus that indicates that it has some probiotic benefits,” says Harlan. So it may ease the build-up of gas and, because of its diuretic properties, also flush waste and excess water from your body.
- Quinoa - The potassium in quinoa has been shown to beat bloat — plus, this South American grain is a great source of the minerals magnesium, phosphorous and especially manganese. It packs both fiber (2.6 grams per 1/2 cup) and protein, a stellar nutrient combo that can keep you satisfied for hours.
